power loss with 2.25" cat-back?

If I put my stock 2.25" cat-back on my 2.5" o/r x-pipe, will I lose power? Should I invest in a 2.5" cat-back? Whats the diff. between those splicer MIL eliminators and the plug in ones?

plug mils are just easier and often better quality, from what i have seen at least. You can make your own from radioshack really. Not that big of a deal as long as they work and you are willing to put in time. I have the plug in kind and have no complaints what so ever. As to power loss, it depends what kind of mods you are running. You should not lose anything serious stock or lightly modified. should sound fine too as long as you dont have chambered mufflers on there. Just try it and find out, cant hurt.

Yeah. The plug in mils are just easier to install. No need to spilce any wires or anything like that. Something else to note, you're not going to make the most out of that mid-pipe alone. You might want to invest in a nice aftermarket catback system.
