hey guys if i order a power pipe will my maf just be switched to the end of the pipe like a cold air intake? Also will my maf have to be recalibrated for one? Lastly which pipe is better the afm or the upr?
There are a couple different versions of the power pipe. With couplers you can put the meter out in the fenderwell. No need to recal the meter for just the pipe. Don't forget to buy a conical filter. they don't come with them (AFM anyway... don't have a clue about UPR).
Edit: Kinda pointless to get a power pipe if you intend to use the stock meter, isn't it?
I have a power pipe with an 80mm meter rite behind the filter inside the fender well. The connection reaches inside the fender I dont think a stock meter will fit on a power pipe!
i have an 80mm maf for 42lb injectors that it would be going on but mine is a supercharged application. so from the supercharger how far down does the powerpipe go? Will the connection still reach to the maf?
The meter sits down in the fender at the end of the pipe. The UPR pipe is a near identical piece of the AFM I've had them side by side..... It comes down to plastic or powder coated steel as your choice. They both are set-up for a Mondo bypass so if you are not using the large bypass you need to make some custom set-up for your bypass valve, not a big deal though...
The pipe Nate metioned is a the NA pipe made for 75mm Pro-M's which do not like to be at the end of the pipe on a NA application. The large pipe like Nates uses is for the 80mm Pro-M which doesn;t care where it is in the intake track.
