My driver's seat was put the whole way back so that my mechanic could work on my steering column. My key switch broke and he had to take the column apart to fix it. Now I'm having a problem with the seat motor. I can only get the seat to go forward about half way. The motor stops and will not move the seat any further. The motor sounds like it is dying. It will still go up and down, but not forward. Is there a way for me to manually move the seat other than forcing it? Does anyone know a good place to buy a new power track assembly? I called my local dealership and their price seems high. Thanks for any assistance.

Make sure there isn't anything in the seat track first. Then get a new motor and may as well get a new switch while you're at it. Then charge your mechanic for the repair, LOLLOL.
