Power throttle bodys any good?

Some guys have had bad luck with the Professional Products TBs. In some cases, the throttle plate can stick, but mine seems like a pretty nice piece. I haven't installed it yet, but I made sure to look it over with a fine tooth comb. They're apparently hit or miss, much like the Typhoon intakes as far as quality goes, so it's all a gamble.

PP sells some great products. Supposedly, they pretty much duplicate Edelbrock, BBK. and other brand products. The only thing I have purchased from them was a SBF carbed intake. It is a great piece.

However, I have heard some bad things about their TB's.

I have the PP Throttle body, and like other's have said, they're hit or miss.....mine's ran fine so far, but I've heard horror stories from other's...

For what it's worth, I would have gone with BBK...

I have one...had to bore out two of the holes to get it to fit with my elbow to the intake.....was told after I bought it that there is a lot of problems with it sticking.....I did not have that problem but the idle screw had to be lock tighted.........My is on now and runs good so far but if I had to do it again or I do more upgrades I will switch to BBK...JMHO......It's hard to look at price but I have learned on three parts not to skimp on quality......

i have a PP 70mm but its a fox style. not installed yet tho. when i first took a look at it, i opened the throttle blade by hand and it was stuck from it not beeing used in a long time. i repolished it (polishing work was faded and not up to my quality) and its no longer sticking.

i'm a little worried right now tho because the iac on the throttlebody is hitting my typhoon intake preventing me to install all 4 bolts. thats because i dont run egr tho. maybe with my egr delete spacer, it will work

word of advise tho. loctite the throttleblade screws inside the throttle body. there known to come loose
