Power to windows and radio with key off?? help!

First of all im new to the site so hello everyone. i have a 93 5.0 gt mustang. i have power to my radio,windows and wipers with the key in off postion.i have unplugged ignition module and still power to them so its not that. i did a search and found similar things but none with all three of my problems.. anyone ever had this problem? fixes? thanks.

When you say "ignition module" are you talking about the actual TFI ignition module (under the hood) or the ignition switch?

If the latter, were any of the wires shorted together near the switch?

Are there indications that the power sources for those items have been changed, either by source-rewiring or use of a relay (some people use a relay to keep such items hot till the door is opened. That way they can play the radio without having the key on).

i mean the switch on the colum and i built this car and everything is stock setup but it does have an aftermarket radio. my dad owns a salvage so i made sure everything was correct on this car. every factory bolt is on this thing. now saying that i built this car you guys would think that i could figure something like this out. well i have tried everything i can think of with zero results of fixing it. my blinkers where not working on it so i replaced the flasher the bell and fuses. it was one of the three that fixed them. well next time i shut the car off the radio stayed on as well as the power to the windows so i check all other componets and the wipers worked as well. so im stumped with this thing so i turned to this forum to see if i was the only one with this problem. my guess is that its somethign simple and im just not seeing it. any help at all would be greatly appreciated..

Again, I would check the ignition switch wire that feeds ALL of those circuits (there's just one. It's black/lt green on earlier cars). The issue could be a shorted wire (the ignition switch and wires can melt and short together), a mis-pinned wire, a bad switch, etc.

And we have to ask: there's no chance the two power wires (constant and accessory) for the stereo are wired together, correct? That could keep the circuit energized at all times.

the radio is wired correct. it has been in the car for over a year now and this problem of mine just started. i will check into all the wires and switches. i will post results if i can ever find out whats wrong.

BUMP. i cant figure this out guys. ive tore this thing apart looking for bad wires and such. surely im not the only guy this has happend too? can anyone help me???

This is an excellent clue. Radios have two power feeds. One of them powers the memory for the settings and is always live. The other one is the ignition switched power that makes the music & CD operate. It is possible that if the radio installer flipped the wires and the feedback through the flipped wires is causing the problem. Disconnect the radio and the adapter harness if it is present and see what happens.

i figured it out guys. when i got the car it had no wiring harness in it. i put one in and used a fuse box from a mark 7 lincolin.. when i fixed my blinkers problem i replaced all blown fuses, well the mark 7 fuse box has an override for all the acc options. so all i had to do was take the extra fuse out and it fixed my problem..
