I purchased a auto 01 gt a while back and I had a diablo tuner and I went to plug it in to the obd 2 port and got this message on screen, I'll attach pic. But I have changed my 02 sensors and done a full tune up, accel coils, platinum plugs, fuel filter, and I am currently running 87 octane gas.

I had also disconnected the battery and restored the HP factory tune via tuner. I have not taken it to ford to flash the ECM? But if it has an actual chip where and how would I go about locating and removing it.

The chip would be attached to the ECM, its located on the passenger by the floor board, the carpet is connected to the plastic cover and held in with plastic push pins. Keep us posted.

Thanks, would the chip be inside or outside the ecm? By the way what would the symptoms of a dirty IAC be?

That and a vacuum leak, to big of an intake can yield idling issues and kill the "streetability" of a car.

For what it's worth I have accel coils. Been thinking about the issues with them. Looked up the knon accel problems and it kinda matches my description but I'll test them. Also running platinum motorcraft plugs gapped at 55 or 56, I could switch to copper and gap smaller, (.48)?

I've seen some people eliminate the IAC valve completely w/no issues (according to them) so, what are the symptoms of the car??

Yesterday I completly cleaned my intake, throttle body, and plenum and it was so dirty. Also pulled one plug to see what I could find and between all this the stutter at 45-50 mph under load went away. So my guess Is that there may have been moisture or dirt inside the hole or maybe the coil pack wasn't seated properly. Who knows, I do plan on switching to either motorcraft or msd coil packs soon though

The symptoms were a slight hessistation and lack of power under light throttle under load at 45-50 mph
