I just install my predator can you tell me how the fan setting work, where is the best setting to improve the cooling and also im in canada and i only have 91 octane gas so when i floor it i hear pinging on the factory tune that come with the predator can you tell me how to eliminate this, if i can adjust other thing on the diablo to improve this because i dont want to retard a lot the timing because i will loose a lot of power now i retard of 0.5 % on the table it is enough because i hear again some little pinging sound in 3-4 gear
let me know your input guys

thanx a lot

I live in Canada also. Some Petro Canada stations have 94 octane. I have my Diablo tune +10% timing and no pinging with the 94.

Add fuel, it will get rid of the pinging, or better yet get a dyno tune.

"30* TIMING WITH SPOUT OUT"

Not sure what this is but does this mean you have a manual timing adjuster? If so you have the timing advanced manually and electronically.. The manual adjuster should be removed..

Regardless, if you hear pinging and cannot get higher octane fuel you need to continue retarding the timing until the pinging stops otherwise you will damage your engine.

You also have the option of getting a custom tune to be downloaded onto your Predator. You will need to specify all of your mods and fuel type and a custome tune can be written for your details. runninwiththedevil.com / diablosportuning.com does it for $125.. Another I recently heard about here goes for $75 (I don't remember the name, search my posts and you will find it).

For my N/A tune I run 87 octane and +10 timing. I am also running 2 step cooler copper plugs, 180 thermostat, 15 deg lower fan set points, and 7 richer. Adding fuel will help if you have just a little pinging. Otherwise keep removing timing until the pinging stops.

Which rev do you have on your Predator? Some of the revs were running the 4.6's too lean. Make sure you have the latest rev installed and if you still have the pinging problem, as mentioned richen it up and see if that helps. If that doesn't help I would call or email DiabloSport and tell them your situation and they should be able to help you out.
