So who's owned the most # of Mustangs in the past? I'm on my 6th one and i'm only 23. I started out with an 84 LX V6 when I was 16. I've tried a couple of fox bodies, SN95, and S197. I ended up going back to the fox body car, which is my favorite.

I made up this picture that has them all on one.

First Mustang was a 1990 4-banger at 16

When i was 17 i bought the '88 5.0 and still have it.

When i was 23, i bought my 2003 GT and still have it

Had a few parts Mustangs as well...a 90 and an 85GT

After owning the 2003, i could never go back to a Fox as a daily driver. I'm spoiled by comfort, leather, A/C, nice stereo, good brakes with ABS and the overall tightness of a new car.

I baught the 05 GT as my daily driver about a year and a half ago. It was nice (except for the hydro clutch, I hate that), but I didn't like the fact that I was putting so many miles on it. I have to drive 80 miles a day, I put 25k on it in the first year. I ended up going with a daily driver (06 mazda 3) and then I decided to get the fox as a weekend / play car. I really like this setup because I don't have to worry about my car being down if i'm in the middle of a project or a part breaks, etc..

Can still get to work and to the parts store with no problems. Sometimes its nice to drive the auto 4-banger with A/C to work and sometimes it's nice to drive the 5spd rough driving fox body

I tried the nice normal daily driver thing and i got bored fast. I used to drive a Mark 8, which i did nothing more than put gas in and drive. The problem was i'd be out on a weekend night with it and just be bored. I'd see a nice Mustang pull up, rev, notice other people checking it out and commenting and then hear the Mustang drive off and bang 2nd hard. I'd just be instantly jealous.

So i sold the Mark and bought my GT and it's been fun to drive as a normal put gas in and drive car. I don't really modify it as my Fox is thw weekend/toy car but at the same time it's nowhere near being dull to drive.

I am getting the itch for a luxury car now, but i don't want to sell my GT and get something and have the same feeling of boredom as i did when i had my Mark 8.

Used to have a literal clone of my current 'Stang before - an '89 LX notch, T-5, handling package, gray cloth interior, 10-hole rims, etc. Same exterior color, even. Main differences were that my current one was originally an AOD with burgundy paint, but the original owner did an awesome job of switching it to a T-5, and I did a ... well ... not-so-awesome job of painting it black... :D

Definitely not my last 'Stang by any means, although I'd much prefer an SN95 for a daily driver and keep the Fox for my toy beast. Call me a wuss, but I kinda miss things like A/C and a comfy, fairly quiet ride, sometimes...

Im sure that the list will grow longer as the years pass, cause there just isnt another car out there that puts a smile on my face like a 5 liter gt.

fff

Im 25 and owned 4 mustangs and 2 capri's
1986 4 banger
1979 4 banger turbo
1986 4 banger and stuck a turbo on it (engine died)
1982 302 sold to dad he stuck a 408 stroker in it.
1984 capri I rebuilt the motor and in 2 months of driving my neighbor stuck something down my carb. Engine dead but car is about to have a 351 windsor transplant.
1986 capri Just put new heads on it and other mods.
All mustangs sold and all capri's I still own. I want a mustang just so I can say I have a mustang and be cool. :nice:

Have:
84 1/2 GT convertable
89 GT hatch
84 SVO (project)
86 SVO (parts)
Have had:
72 Mach 1
65 coupe
85 SVO
85 SVO (parts)
79 Ghia coupe (parts)
82 coupe
84 GT hatch (parts)
I've had and have alot of other cars, but these are the Mustangs.

I've only had three, but I'll bet that I've owned Mustangs for the longest continuous period here. I bought my first, a 69 coupe with a 302, in 1978 and I have always had a Mustang since. Can anyone top 28 years of continuous Mustang ownership?

'83 hatch w/351W out of an SSP Crown Vic
'88 GT hatch
'79 T top Ghia hatch, parts car (got my nose off it)
'85 SSP Coupe

I've had my coupe for almost 4 years, and i had the GT for a little over a year. I traded the '88 to get the '83 and then traded the '83 to get my coupe. The Ghia is in a scrap yard....which is a pitty because it was 100% rust free...nobody wanted it though because it didn't have a title and it was pretty much a bare shell. I couldn't even give it away so i gave it to a guy i know who owns a junkyard.
