I paid my friends dad who is a ford tech 200 bucks and he had them in within 3 hours...perfect install. See if you can find someone to do it under the table.

8 hour job? The two places aroung Jax that I've spoken with each gave an estimate of 3 hours and a price of $275, I bring my own gears, or a price of $475 with their gears.

I found another place by my house that said they would do it for 3Hrs of labor which is $96 per hour. How much do you think I can get a set of gears and isntall kit for? $200?

That would put the total around $500 which I think is a little better.

AZ rear end

I basically just got a whole rear end re-build. New gears, limited slip differential, axel seals, and master bearing kit. Got the Ford Racing 3.73 for about $190, bearing kit for $79, and seals for about $29 and the shop in AZ charged me $450 for install for everything.

I always quote my jobs at 8 hrs in case small stuff comes up (i.e. discovering bad bearings, excessive FOD cleanup) nominally about 4 hrs works out, but I make sure they are spot on before they leave. I have opened the entire axle up with a perfect wipe to make sure I get the most gear contact.
