I know that red was the predominant primer color for 66's, but what was the actual primer color name? or was it just oxide red primer? I assume the entire car was painted in that color primer before actual paint was applied? thanks in advance guys.
I believe it was a PPG red oxide primer (PPG DP74 equivalent today). This is an epoxy primer, but must of been an enamel back in the day. Best to check a concours forum.
