FIND YOUR FIRST CAR

Thought you might enjoy seeing your first car ad.

Find your first car or the one you drove while in high school or college;

Hopefully, that particular car brochure is available.

This has to be one of the coolest web sites whether you have gasoline in your veins or not.

This website features the original factory brochures for nearly every American car you have ever owned or made.

Just pick the manufacturer,the year and the model.

Mine was a 1980, but had the 350 Diesel. Gawd that car was awful.. 572 Miles on a single tankfull... o_O I don't think the thing would run 572 miles before the head gaskets would blow, or the injector pump go out...

I was looking at Plymouth brochures, if you don't count my '90 LX 2.3 I had in high school then technically my first car was my dad's hand me down '88 Plymouth Reliant which they don't have a brochure for.

I did see this though, look at the tire smoking power they had available in the 1984 Plymouth Gran Fury...oooooh yeah. I bet 130 hp and 235 ft-lbs in a 3600 lb car was awesome!

1976 Pontiac Sunbird. I don't really miss it.

Mine was dark red (without the "landau" top or sunroof) with black vinyl interior. You could not wear shorts in the summer time in that car, the heat would sear the skin from your legs! :eek: Mine had the lousy 4-cylinder engine. The later model that had a habit of blowing head-gaskets, not the better "iron duke" engine. Any time you stopped at the gas station you'd have to "check the gas and fill the oil" with it.
When the engine did finally let go, I seriously considered dropping a 305 V8 into it... would've been a straight drop-in, didn't even have to change the transmission. I still kind of regret not doing that, but I didn't know cars then like I do now. :oops:

Found it in an old woman's garage. Someone had put a pretty healthy Corvette motor into the thing, it was primered gray, and sat on some fairly decent rims and tires. This was all back in the 80's.

Edit:
Oh.... and it was three on the tree.

I owned 3 cars before I owned the car that was officially my first legally driven car, so here's the brochure for that car.

Mine was an '87 Z24 Cavalier. It was actually a pretty ballsy little 4 banger. It would fry the crap out of the tires from a roll and it was an automatic. Mine was red but was otherwise just like the black one.

66 Mustang coupe .Started out as a 6 cylinder ,with a rod hanging out of the block .My Grand Father bought it for me at a cost of $200 .Me and my dad up graded it to a V8 with the help of a wrecked 66 Shelby fast back ...Yep it had a Hipo and a 4 speed ...no two four speeds...and two rear ends . loved that car ,even though my friends told me i would look stupid in that car ...I didn't need no stinken car to make me look stupid at 16.:ack:
