So everything is in and working, but I wouldn't quite say well yet.

Are you supposed to use loc-tite on the shift stops, because the first time the bottom one moved I thought I lost two gears, I fixed it, and it loosened right back up literally minutes later. Also, the bottom bolt on the shifter handle (which has a lock washer) continues to loosen as well. So far, I'm not entirely impressed with the shifter.

New TKO, how tough was it for you guys to get into first gear? I have to put a decent amount of push on the shifter at a stop to get it to go, but it doesn't grind, normal until it breaks in some? Also, today on the freeway I was going about 60 and needed to get around traffic, so I went to bump from 5th to 3rd (nothing hard or balls to the wall) and I got some decent grinding, but it went into gear the third try. Is that also because it isn't broken in yet, or should I be looking for something?

I have no high speed vibration, but I have a strange one that comes and goes at will at lower speeds under very light acceleration. I had my mid-pipe custom bent and he took out the stock hanger, but I bought the Energy Suspension one for this. Should I be looking to make a couple plates to mock the stocker? The only other gear that gives me trouble is reverse, but it only grinds a little bit, every other gear seems to go in no problem (which is why I'm kinda dumbfounded).

Am I just looking at break in stuff or is something not quite right that I need to fix?

Current mileage on new clutch/TKO: ~100 miles

By the way, every time I write a thread like this with tons of questions I don't seem to get very much feedback, so if you only think you know the answer to one question, help a brother out anyways

My 3550 is a bear to get into 1st after coming from reverse. I also have to put it into 1st twice before going into reverse or else it grinds.

What kind of fluid did you use. I'd say give it somee time to smooth out. If after a couple hundred miles its still bad, then call the company you bought it from to see what they say.

No, the Tremec aluminum one. IMO, since Tremec made the transmission, their bellhousing should fit/work just as good (if not better) than a Lakewood one.

We'll see how things go once I get to 500 miles, the only thing is I don't drive it a whole ton, so I really need to get a move on so in case something is wrong they don't screw me out of my warranty.

I used the required GM Syncromesh.

I thought your vibration might be from not indexing your bell but you should be ok with the tremec one.
