Pro-M question for the modular crowd

how does this peice run on your car, all the 5.0L guys seem to recommend it, my friend who is a modular guy said everyone who has it seems to have nothing but troubles. im just trying to set the record straight and find out if its just the modular crowd having problems with it because almost every 5.0 guy runs this and recommends it, and loves it

Since it uses it own electronics, it can be a bit more work to get calibrated and tuned properly (as opposed to the C&L MAF which uses the OEM electronics, sensor(s), etc.) What mods do you have? Simply adding a MAF to an otherwise stock or nearly stock motor isn't really worth it on these MOD motors, as the OEM MAF is really pretty good. From what I've seen, a lot of people use the Pro-M when adding a S/C, because of the Pro-M's independent tune-ability.

actually im a 5.0L guy im trying to find out the truth behind the 5.0L guys backing me for getting one, and what the 4.6 people think. My friend is very knowledge able, and he said in the mod forums he said everyone with a pro-m has idleing.....or pinging......type issues. I just trying to confirm the 4.6L people having a problem with the Pro-M so that i know they seem to work better on the 5.0L application

I'm using an 85mm pro-m with my blower and it works perfectly. Pro-m calibrates it for your injectors at the factory, which means it is much more consistant than the c&l which only changes the size of the sampling tube. They also send you the calibration sheet.

I've got the 95mm Pro-M. It is literally plug and play. Even with some bumped timing and leaned fuel mixture I have no idle or pinging issues. I had a C&L before, and I don't now because of consistent Check Engine lights when coupled with a higher-flowing intake inlet.
