Well I have always been interested in the Pro-Products throttle body and thier EFI intake manifolds. But like the rest of you I stayed away becuase i always heard of them getting stuck at WOT. So when I was at SEMA I decided to have a talk with the tech and told him about the problem. Of course they already knew about it and he discovered the fix like most of us. by fixing it him self.

Here is the FIX: The Butterfly has 2 screws in the back. Loosen the screws and smack both sides of the butterfly shaft with a rubber mallet. This should center the shaft and you can then retighten the screws.

I was assuered this was the fix and that the newer models should have that problem because they changed thier manufacturer. I haven't tried it yet but if anybody in here has one and is haveing that sticking problem let us all know.

Geez....what ever happen to "Quality Control"????

Way to go on finding out the fix for everyone....

Our oil rigs get manufactured/assembled/rigged up and test run before they leave our yard..then we send an Engineer with the rig to make sure it's put back together correctly..We take PRIDE in our product..

88gt cmon man, a 100 million dollar oil rig (offshore) to a 130 dollar TB...how many rigs do you guys pump out a year 40? if you guys were making 75 cents an hour pumping these out by the thousands you wouldn't do **** either.

thanks for posting that up for the budget guys redsnake.

I initially had a problem with mine being a little sticky when i first got it. All I did to fix it was put some grease in the socket where it snaps onto the linkage arm for the butterfly. Smooth as a baby's butt!!

I agree with your statement. Quality control IS one of the most expensive processes in a product. Having a person sit down and make sure the product is up to specs can be a time consuming and very expensive procedure. It seems they do have some sort of quality control but nothing crazy since some do slip by. Figure for every 20 throttle bodies, 1 is checked for operation. This leads to some getting through the cracks but like I said, I have had no problems with both my Typhoon intake and PP throttle body. Couldn't have been happier!!!
