If i get a dry nitrous kit and run a 75 shot whats the probability of me getting 12's. I run about a 13.7 right now.

It might help people to know what other mods you might have.

Pr[r]=N!
r!(N−r)!
πr(1−π)N−r

P(B|A) = P(B) or P(A|B) = P(A)

Its too hard to guess what a 75 shot alone will do without knowing more about the car and suspension/tire combo. With 268rwhp, the added 75 shot will provide enough power to make the car 12 second capable (its actually 12 second capable right now with the right driver, suspension, and tires. Check out GMKLLR and some other's cobras. He ran 12's at 106 with a engine that was stock from the TB to the oil pan.) What are your 60's like now? What tires will you be running? Can you post the rest of your timeslip?

If you had never raced the car before and planned to run street tires my answer would be no, it wouldn't run 12's unless you had beginners luck.

well my 60's were 2.1 at 99 mph

the only suspension is that its lowered and its on street tires

the reason I didn't give a 'helpful' answer is because it's really a crapshoot. there's too many variables.

either you get the nitrous or you don't

don't get too worried about track times

you can always put on a bigger shot later...

no need for a tune with nitrous per say...just make sure you have:

colder plugs
195lph+ fuel pump (some people say you don't 'need' to have it, but I wouldn't run the risk of blowing a head gasket)
retard your timing a bit

I'm sure of the N2O guys will have more to say

Found myself reading this post again. What do you mean your car runs ABOUT a 13.7? Kinda sounds like you've raced someone else, and are trying to guess your times. If so it'll be REALLY hard to guess what you'll run on the bottle.

Oh and to add to Therian's post. Make sure you run the highest octane fuel you can get. I try to run 93, but it's not always available in my area, so 91 has to do sometimes. Which is one reason I have to drop my timing so much.

Also close up the gap on those plugs to .035

-lowering your car didnt help you in your quest for 12s

-2* per 50 shot is what i heard the retarding of the timing should be

-are you sure you are putting 270 to the ground with those simple mods? am i the only one doubting it?

-just do 100 shot and call it at that

yes and you are wrong. he posted the dyno sheet when he first did it. we have a dyno day here on the 7th and im already signed up for it. i think someone else with those "simple" mods just put down 280 at the wheels. i do not recall the tourqe but is was over 300.
