i bought an 02 gt about a month ago and changed the oil today so i could have mobil 1 in it, after putting in 5 quarts i checked it and nothing was read on the dipstick. at first i thought maybe the car took more than 5 quarts for some reason but this cant be, and now im wondering if maybe whoever had the car before put a wrong dipstick in the car. I drained like 7 quarts out of it to my suprise so it was over what it should have been. I was wondering if anyone had the factory part number to a mustang 4.6L gt cuz i got mine right off of the dipstick and i want to check to see if i have the wrong dipstick in there because the one have is a spiraled twisted design and i had a v6 stang before and dont remember it being like that the part number on questionable dipstick is 1 r3e-6750-bb. if anyone could check their dipstick and get a part # and help me id greatly appreciate any help dont want to drive my car tommorrow until i know.

All 4.6's that I know about take 6 qts. Put in the 6th quart and see what it reads. I'll check my dipstick number later.
