threw on the elbow/tb so i could measure for my cai..ran into a problem. sensor hits on the vc's and the elbow hits it in the back. either some kinda spacer or go ahead and do a swap to a fox style tb.

and heres some better ones. 2 things i dont like. the overflow bottle.. maybe paint it black or just get a new one. and the upper rad hose. i might swap it out for a black one. whatcha think?

IIRC i think you need a 3/8'' intake spacer in order for it to fit.

Bay looks good man... Keep up the good work... id paint the overflow but tape off a 1/4'' strip so you can still read how full it is easily.

thxs!

i already have a 1in spacer just so the intake can clear the vc's. im prolly just going to read up on the fox tb swap. good thing is i hear accufab makes a 90mm tb. bad thing is it sets me back cuz ill have to look for more parts.

Get a 5 dollar black overflow bottle from Jegs. Alot smaller than the nasty stock one and much cleaner.

If you dont wanna do a Fox swap...remove the elbow at the upper and try putting 1/2" nuts over your studs, sorta like a spacer..slap the TB on and see if it moves the problem out enuf to clear your issues... Then you could get a 1/2" or more EGR spacer and use it...

this ones a UPR 1/2" EGR delete spacer.. They do make thicker ones.

wow, it's coming together nicely, Tony!

I'd see about ditching the elbow and using the TB you already have -- you'd probably either just need a fox throttle cable or maybe you could modify your stocker (loop it to shorten it?) to get it to work.

thxs rio! i was reading an old thread on fox tb swaps and you had the same pic in the thread. so i thought that could work. i might get the swap parts anyway and do it later down the road.

thxs paul! im pretty happy with the way its going. took a lil bit, but im not trying to rush.

What about grinding down the elbow and EGR? I haven't had those components on my car for a while so I can't remember if that would affect the functioning of the EGR.

I would try grinding as well. I had to grind my elbow a little. I ground the EGR area as well as the flange that the t-body bolts to to get better access to the plug that is right there.

You should have plenty of room to grind things down.

I ran into the same problem with my setup, I just ground down that egr flange until it fit. I actually had to grind into the bolt hole but it still works. This method may not be as pretty though...

Parchisi is wright. I did the same thing. Grounded down to the stud. Worked fine for me.

even if you do the fox swap you need a 1 inch intake spacer... I have those valve covers, i wish i never bought them... i cant take them off with my supercharger in the car... sucks... you need all new intake hardware after the 1 inch spacer as well.

Looks great. I would do the fox swap and do a cheap catch can like someone else said and hide it infront of the radiator.

u could do one of three things.

1. grind down the egr on the elbow and just thread the hole and plug it
2. do a fox tb swap
3. if its worth it to ya and dont wanna spend the money on a new tb, i modified my intake manifold to put the 94-95 tb on without the elbow. you will have to drill new holes in the manifold and make a plate to cover the egr opening on the manifold. and make a bracket for the throttle cable and it should work. i had the same issue on my car when i put the fox valve covers on. i couldnt get the tb off without taking the upper plenum off. it wasnt too difficult. i just used some 1/8 inch thick aluminum to make the brackets

Fox body vc's work great on our cars

You just gotta take out some of the baffle and get a bit creative
with the oil fill tube

Some have cut the tube in half and rewelded for a more
suitable position

I went for the easy solution with a 3" section of radiator hose
with a slight bend that was from some sort of little ricer car

anyway

The Fox vc's offer more room yet keep a very low profile

They worked great with my stud mount Scorpion rr's

I didn't need any kind of spacer with my combo
