Hey,

Problem: Rear end vibration at 50+ mph after clutch install.

I Just had a Centerforce clutch installed in my 94 GT. Clutch seems to work perfect except for the harsh vibration at 50+ mph coming from the rearend of the car. It gets even worse at 75-100 mph. I have checked everything that I can think of and can't find a solution to this problem. Nothing seems to be rubbing. Although when transfering a Transmission up to Tallahasse in my truck the wieght of the transmission subsided the vibration till it was taken out. Anyone have any insight to what this problem might be? Any help would be great!

Thank in advance!

Did you make sure to put the driveshaft on in the same way you took it off? Sometimes you can get a vibration when you dont mount the driveshaft to the rear in the same way it was taken off. I would say try reinstalling the driveshaft until it stops vibrating

you think the driveshaft bolts being loose wil cause a vibration from right behind the armrest @ only 80 mph???....any faster and nothing and any slower and nothing but when ur cruisin riht around 80 there is a harsh vibration from right behind the arm rest.

After I got my clutch changed, the ride home at 70mph was an adventure. I could go 50 or 85 and the vibration would stop. When my new aluminum DS came in three days later, no more vibrations, ever.

I have checked the drive shaft bolts twice. the vibration seems to happen at 50-70 and 85-100+ when I push the gas a bit its a harsh vibrate for about 2 secs then a constent light vibration. When I let the gas off the harsh vibration comes back again for a few secs. I know basic car knowlege but could the driveshaft be out of balance? if it the driveshaft thats all f**ked up thats an easy fix for $160 at the local speed shop.
