Problem w/ front lower control arm bushings

I am currently putting eibach drag springs and new rear control arms in my 1983 mustang convertible GLX with a 5.0 engine. When i was putting the front springs in, i decided to replace the bushings as well. However, i got new bushings (2 from Autozone and 2 from Advance) and they are both the wrong size. They swear that they gave me front lower control arm bushings. The part number in their computer matched the part number of the bushings they gave me. The bushings were too small, they just fell into the control arms with no resistance. The ones that came out were bigger than the ones they sent me. Could it be because it is a convertible that they have different bushings??? Anyone have any ideas?? Thanks!

I wouldnt trust advance or autozone with part numbers, or their computers.
They have given me the wrong part more then once..
Ex: water pump gaskets, 02's, egr/tb gaskets, ect..
Couldnt you bring in an old bushing and size it up, make sure your getting the right one?
Just a thought..

Yes. Don't buy from autozone or advance. A monkey with a typewriter has about as much chance of getting the right part for you as they do.

Here they are:

6-209-BL $59.95/set

For $60 you get improved handling and the correct part. It's well worth it.
