I already tried seeing if I could move the alternator back to line up with the water pump pully but there isn't enough clearance to make it fit.D.Hearne said:I think that if he does that, it's going to interfer with the dipstick. It's worth a try though. It would also help to use a shorter pulley, such as the 390 one I have, but it needs to be the same diameter or a little smaller to clear the crank I think. I also had a small block pulley but it used a smaller V belt, I don't think it would have worked well.
