went to dyno day on saturday. first of all, my car is running very rich! the gas mileage has suffered and the exhaust smells very rich. next, the shop that had the dyno had difficulty getting an accurate reading for the rpms. each plug wire they tried seemed to have alot of interference and would not read a steady reading. then when if made my pulls, the ignition curve was really irradic. i guess it is supposed to be smooth and follow the rpm curve, mine was all over the screen (up and down like an EKG heart monitor). right now i am thinking on getting a msd ignition, coil, plug wires, and distributor cap. also new plugs. i believe this will correct the ignition problems, but will it help with the richness. if not, how do you adjust the mixture on a 93 cobra? will i have to get an adjustable fuel pressure regulator?

How rich are you talking? If its too rich then there's probably a problem. Not something that you could just correct with an afpr. Ofcourse it would never hurt to get a good ignition. I would think that would cure the problem. Your coil is probably weak.
