ok so i have a 94 gt that i havnt driven in a year or so because of school and what not but im getting back into it finally but i have a few problems, its a hci 306 with a 190 fuel pump 24 lb injectors 5 speed swap ect. One is that i have a really bad vibration in the shifter around 90 mph and up, i noticed that one of my wheel bearings is starting to make noise but i would think that would be more in the steering wheel if it was that.

second i got it tuned awhile back and the injectors were running at like 95 % duty cycle so he suggested i just went to 42 lb/ hr and a lightning MAF but it doesnt seem like anyone has these anymore, i plan on eventualy having around 550 to the wheels mayb a bit less with a 331 on boost, so would 42s support that or could i go to 60's but then it would probably be too big for my current 300hp set up right?

sorry for ranting but all help is awesome

thanks
cory

For vibration I would check the balancer, drive shaft, u-joints and wheels. For the 550 hp I'm certain that you will need bigger injectors and they can be tuned down to an idle pulse width. Your fuel pump will be inadequate as will the fuel lines. 42 lb injectors and 90 mm LMAF's are generally available so you shouldn't really have a problem finding them.

With a duty cycle of 95% the hp = (8x24x.95)/.5 = 364.8 hp at the crank. So 365 x .85 = 310 rwhp.

Apparently my ex-husband made that mistake.

I had a real bad vibration like that before, and it was a U-joint in the driveshaft. Ended up shattering the back end of the transmission when I was 1000+ miles from home. I'd check the driveshaft first. 24lb injectors should be good for that HCI setup, even at 95% duty cycle. If it ran good like that, I wouldn't mess with it. For the MAF, you can just get a P-MAS. You don't need to hunt down a Lightning MAF.

so that could be why i guess, i wanna say it was like 290-300 at the wheels, he said he it wasnt worth messing with the tune cuz the injectors were pretty much maxed out
