problems with tires????

i just got a set of new rims. i opened it and that **** looked big. i got some
18 x 10 and it looks huge. it got me wondering even if it is even gonna fit. ima put it in the rear. will it rub against the car, and will they stick out? man i hope they fit.

If you are using them for the rear they will look great. They will stick out a little but thats just going to add to the look of the car. They shouldn't rub you should be fine. Congrates on the new wheels post some picks.

Yeah, the wheels will look sweet, if you put the right size tires on there, forget about spinnin' the tires, unless you try in the rain, maybe a little then.

If you just plan on putting the 18x10s on the back you WILL NOT have any problem...
I have them on the back with a 295-35-18 tire and they sit flush. I wouldnt put any tire smaller than 285-35-18, otherwise it will not protect the rim and it will stick out. Since you have a 99+ you can fit a 315-35-18 on the back with no rubbing, but any sizes above 295 in an 18 are hard to find. Again.... this just applies to the back.

Its been a month since I started this post, saved up enough money and finally got my tires. I put 18 x 9 in the front and 18 x 10 in the back. They look sweet. The pictures dont do it justice. Shout outs to 5pointmustang for your help and everybody else.

yea bro looks great.. i wudve thought it would come a lot closer to rubbing with the 18s but u got plenty of room... get that lowered!

Yea definitely. I can feel the difference when I drive it now especially in the rear. Its feels kinda stiffer and feels as if the rear is sliding out underneath when i turn. It just feels different. The guy at the place i took it to was telling me to replace the struts as well

Oh yea and the tires dont rub at all. Im thinking bout get it lowered a couple inches

I spent months looking for tires. I put 265/35/18 in front and 285/35/18 in the back. all 4 were falken tires. The front 2 cost me $168 each and the rear for $198 each. I searched for the 295/35/18 for the rear, but I could not find a matching brand for the front and they were more expensive. They look sweet, but it does not handle the same, i need to save up to change the springs

Yeah, its a shame 18in tires cost so GD much. Be careful going too low in the rear with those fat tires. Crawl up under there and look to see how close your tires are to your muffler(s) now.
