i am pretty sure my computer is gone bad please tell me what you think. first my plactic intake cracked and was leaking coolant onto cyl#5 so i causing a missfire. so i did the intake cleaned the coil and plug now my i am getting a missfire on cyl #4 immediately after installing the intake. i have changed the coil and plugs and still a missfire, i also tested the injector and did a compression test and all is fine. it seems to be an intermittent missfire also. it is worse after driving for a bit and when i stop only after driving it for a few the idle surges. oh and i also got a code p1000 saying that obdII tests incomplete. anyone have any ideas???

my intake cracked on my 98 gt and it was a pain. any way just make sure if you haven't already take the spark plugs out and clean using wd-40 pop them back in and see what happens. it fix my problem with my misfire. before i did that i replaced my computer and coil packs. wish i used that wd 40 first.

Check your connections on everything and maybe test the CoP unit then check for vaccum leaks.

The p1000 code is a normal code you get when you scan for DTC's with the motor off.

If you computer goes bad it wont run.

i tested all of the coils, injectors, plugs, did a compression test and all tested good. i double checked all my connections mayn times and found nothing. i could have missed something bit i havent found it thats why i say the computer.

Its not the computer.

I cannot think of what else....
Intake vaccum leak maybe.

i did a compression test on the cyl that is missfiring and it was fine and held so i dont think the intake is leaking, as far as a vaccume leak that is still very possible, the way i test it is spray carb cleaner around all areas where vaccume is and possible leaking places and listen for changes. i did that and found nothing. do you have any suggestions?
