I was wondering how much hp you guys have gotten with this kit? Can you tell me what car you have and parts. I have a 03 GT and I want to use this system on a remotely stock engine at 12 psi and am wondering if thats ok and what HP and Torque I would be around. Guesstimate!!

dont go over 8 lbs with a stock engine , you will blow a piston or blow the rings off the bottom of the piston , 8 lbs will get you 400 rwhp with a good dyno tune which is a must anything more you are pushing your engine TOO much .

www.vtengines.com, thats vt's sight ...i got 450 hp out of the p1 but it was spun to its max...im current in the process of having it upgraded to a d1sc... if you have any aspirations of some higher numbers skip the p1 and go straight to the d1 i wish i had in the first place.

I had a P1 on my stock GT, made 410 rwhp on a safe tune.
max power was around 425 rwhp, but I bumped it back down.
Nice blower that makes great power....a D1 is sweet, but unless your planning on getting forged internals sometime soon, I would just get the P1.

That is not true. 8 psi is not what causes motor to "blow a piston" its called Detonation. Lack of fuel in other words.

Many people are running 12-14psi on their stock motors with a good tune. Most are intercooled however and I would suggest getting one. They help in the prevention of Detonation.

Also I would get the D1 because the p1 is limited on how much psi it can handle. If you are as power hungry as the rest of us, you will want to upgrade and the p1 wont support too much power. Get the d1.

if you got a built bottom end, well over 500rwhp with ease. 500rwhp is around 600 at the fly/motor .

UH? Where did you get your info? What about the steeda q cars that make 12 psi on stock internals? As someone else stated 8 psi won't "blow the rings off the bottom of the piston". Many people run 12+ psi with no issues at all. Tune is key.

Anyway, to the thread starter, when I ran a P1 at 8 psi my car made 377 rwhp which is about average but then it puked on me. As someone else advised spend the extra $300 and get a D1. It'll support just about anything you do with the car in the future and isn't nearly as susceptable to the seal issues.

a/f at 11.5 doesnt mean it was like that through out the entire RPM band and what do you mean by blew a piston? hundreds of other things could have happened to your friends motor. It wasnt the 10lbs of boost.

Hey micool what setup were you runnin @ 8lbs when it puked what happened?

Are the p1SC still ahvin seal problems? I was gonna get a Procharger til I heard this, so I called them and asked the person to be honest and let me know what was happenin and had they resolved it. He said it was becasue people were taking their blowers off while they were still hot and layin them on their sides, which kinda makes sense but why would you be pullin as steamin hot blower off your car so I said and ended that talk right there when you ask somebody to be honest JUst do it!!!

And as far as boost breakin stuff I agree with everybody else its DETONATION that kills motor. I remeber seein people pushin 450 rwhp with the cobra killer kits on stock bottom ends. Now how long it will hold before the motor gets tired is another question!
