a/f at 11.5 doesnt mean it was like that through out the entire RPM band and what do you mean by blew a piston? hundreds of other things could have happened to your friends motor. It wasnt the 10lbs of boost.

piston cracked , 11.5 flat to 6500 RPMS . pistons wont take that pressure , he had it like that for 6 months , then it blew

I ran a 12# kit had a quality tune from the "Procharger Guru" out of Jersey, and blew the hell out of my motor after 300 miles.

It also leaked oil like a siv - fuggin piece of crap. :notnice:

do the D1's have the rep for the oil leak ?
When you're talking about buying a s/c whats anoter $300 to ensure you can always make more power anyway ?
I've heard the procharger intercoolers aren't very good also. Any info on that ?

was it worth it ?? , not being a smart A$$ , but seriously , and what kind of HP did you get out of that ??

Hey 68 I've never heard of the D-1's havin problems! As for the intercoolers I've heard they are just alright but I think they are a two cores and for the price you get the kit for I'm sure they aren't the best in the world. I like Procharger and for getting an intercooler with the kit its a pretty sweet deal but then you need to drop another 250+ for injectors. If I'm spendin that kind of money why not get the Cobra Killer kit?

will i be beter off getting the cobra killer kit? I see it doesnt come with an intercooler. Will i be able to make more power with this then the D1SC?
The D1 will give you all you want.........it's a bad mother scratcher but the cobra killer kit will give you 400 rwhp+ easily with the right combination and will give you the benefit of a great tune as well. The cobra killer kit can be ordered with the Novi 2000 (that's what I'd buy) which will also support all the power you could want. At the same time, the T Trim kit he offers is the same blower on my car right now and is supporting 663 rwhp. :D So, you can see where you have many options and that the best answer your'e gonna get will be from you conversing with him and giving him your plans for the car.

I know I'm not much help but I won't bs you either. My advice is to find a shop your'e comfortable with and trust their word before anyone elses and for the love of God don't listen to someone that doesn't even own a blower.
