stay away from pp there quality is horrible alot of people here and on other forums have had problems with there 4.6 and 5.0 intakes. if there manifolds arent that great then other parts must not be very good either. i went with bbk and couldnt be happier

i have heard many bad things about there manifolds. I have heard that there tb/plenum combo is good though. I havent heard one bad report on it realy. It is just not the best looking thing imo.

I am also thinking about getting this myself!

In the MM&FF mag they had an ad for C&L that said the plenum was 119. It would be a better piece and wouldn't be that much more.

You can get the C&L plenum with a 75mm Prof. Products TB for $199 from rpmoutlet.com.
Word of caution: some people have had problems with RPMOutlet.com. I myself have never ordered from them so .

haha, all iv ever heard is "well i heard from some guy......or this one guy told me that his friend said......" give me an example of thier poor quality TB + Plenum plz
iv seen pitted finish on accufabs, that often come with the wrong sized nipple for your rear vacuum hose(PP comes w/ both sizes of nipple in case), BBK's and accufab's who's throttle gets stuck, and all i ever hear about PP is "i hear they are bad" if they costed $75 more everyone wouldn't think twice.

I think i saw the one you were talkigna bout, but it didnt say C&L, it says RPM, is that the same one you are talking about?
So has anyone really tried the PP or just what they have heard? THe price is right, dont want to spend more if nothing is wrong with it and someone did the install wrong and say its the quality of the product.

I too would stay far far away from the PP products because
it is cheap junk manufactured in China. The quality of there
products isn't good either from my experience.
I would rather buy the Trickflow plenum instead.

I think if people would be more specific about what issues they have had with PP items it would help. I heard of problems is a hollow statement. They generally have the lowest cost stuff on the market so they are going to get the most attention from shoppers, just like walmart. Pennywise2 what problems did you have?

Im getting tired of hearing this "PP is china junk stay away yadda yadda", most of the stuff you buy now a days is from China anyhow.

Untill youve had a personal experience other than "my freinds brothers cousin told me that this is junk" theres no reason to bash the company. They make a quality low price product that does the exact same thing as higher priced ones. Just because of that doesnt mean they are junk and it will make your car explode if you use them.

Yes, ive heard stuff about their 5.0 products having defects, and the Typhoon manifolds sucking. But ive heard the exact same stuff about other "great" brands aswell. A bud of mine has the Typhoon on his GT and it definatly free'd up some power.

I have their 75mm throttle body and RPM outlets ported plenum and the Professional Products throttle body is great quality, fits perfect. The RPM plenum is of less quality than the throttle body.

If you want to pay $400+ for Accufab for the bling, go ahead, but all plenums/tb combo's will make within 1-2 hp of themselves.

The polished PP throttle body and PP plenum look just as good IMO.

The only quality problem I have ever heard of with PP is fitment issues with their intake manifold. I don't think the TB and plenum should be too bad. Sure Accufab may be better quality but if the hp gains are minimal then I say get whats cheaper.

the TFS plenum is a good cheap proven piece... I had it on my car for over 2 years and with an Accufab 75 mated to it. the TFS came with both nipples for hose fitting and isn't bad looking either.

Personally I don't like to support vendors that make inferior products at the cheapest price.. you will learn that you pay to play in this game..nothing good comes cheap!

for the record my buddy bought a PP 70tb for his 5.0 and it was a piece of crap..throttle blade stuck open on more than one occasion probably due to poor tolerances. they can market this crap cheap because they are cheesing it with their jigs and casts of these parts.

There is nothing wrong with their products. I have been running the polished intake, plenum and TB for over 10K miles. With the intake you only need to add sealer to the two internal gaskets (three piece manifold) and lock tight down the bolts. The fit of manifold, plenum, and TB was prefect!

I would run a Chinese aluminum piece of junk over the factory FORD PLASTIC PIECE OF ***** ANY DAY

The Professional Products Throttle body (75mm) is a nice, good quality piece. I would recommend that. The only thing that sucks about it is that the throttle cable wouldn't fit into the hole they made for it. So I had to take a drill bit and make it just a little bit bigger.

PP plenum doesn't look very good, the casting is poor and has alot of pits and stuff in it, but it does work. And the combination make an improvement in power.

The PP Typhoon intake manifold is garbage. The manifold is warped when you get it and getting it to seal the the head is nearly impossible without machining it.

Also the hardware for the kit is crap. The bolts included are made from aluminum.

However BBK's products dont seem much better. Put a twin 65mm throttle body on a bullitt and the throttle body wont open more than 1/4 throttle. Why is this? The butterflys are too big for the manifold.

That doesn't sound like very good research and development for their products. Nothing was ever stated that the throttle body had to be used with highly ported plenums or anything.

Not the one I bought. It was prefect. You should have sent it back.

Wrong again man, you should have sent it back, if you are the person that actually experienced it.

Wrong again man, you really do not know what you are talking about. The manifold/head bolts are stainless and the best choice. NO one would sell an aluminum bolt to be used in an aluminum head. No one is that stupid.

I built this 99 up for my daughter. Long tubes, 2003 crown vic cop motor (totaled car at 9K miles), monster stage 3 auto with mechanical valve body, HD torque converter with bearings, tubular K, tubular A's, coil overs, off road H, cobra wheels (265 front 295 rear tires), 85mm mass, balanced RC injectors, cobra seats, trick flow dif cover, drilled slotted rotors, off set rack, bump steer kit, car has prefect idle and runs damn good compared to stock.
