I had a PP TB on a foxbody and it was a better looking piece than the BBK/Edelbrock as far as casting , but the idle screw backed out a few times , instead of having a spring to hold tension like a stock one it had a jam nut that backed off a couple times , sold it to a friend that used some red loctite on it and it never backed off after that , I ended up going with a Holley but it was not cheap , my 02 supercharged GT has a TF plenum and accufab TB , but I would buy another PP one as long as the idle screw doesn't have a tendency to back off ....

Well Turbo92PGT was talking about my car actually.. I bought a USED typhoon which might not have been the best idea but it didnt seal right and had tons of problems.. But i am sending it back for another one and giving it one more try I guess..

Now as far as the bolts go, the bolts werent the best (at least in my kit) and are not something i would use for manifold bolts but thats totally IMO... nothing more...

I also have the pp t/b (75mm) and Plemum and it has work perfectlly the whole time i have owned it which is about a year now..

I have the PP combo, I also had to drill out the hole for the throttle cable but any idiot can do that in a minute. Both are quality pieces, no idle issues, etc. I would definatly recommend it.

I have had the PP plenum and tb for over a year I payed 205 shipped and it has worked great.

But as far as the typhoon intake goes you couldn't give me one, unless I was going to sell it. I have read to many threads from people who bought them. The either report leaks, bad drivaibilty or a loss of hp.

I appologize for being wrong about the bolts being aluminum. I was just going by the fact that my magnet would not stick to them.

The customer service with PP seems to be good though. My friend is getting a new one shipped to him for free. Hopefully it turns out good this time. If it does I might have to buy one for my car. Sorry for the confusion.

And as for me being "wrong" and then "wrong again", how would you know? I'm glad your intake manifold shenanigans went smoothly and everything worked perfectly. It must be your superior skills in the ways of parts ordering and installing.

My friend on the other hand, got a bad intake manifold, and is being replaced. If PP knew without a doubt that their intake manifolds were flawless and have never experienced any problems whatsoever with them then why would they take the manifold back no questions asked? Admitting their product was flawed perhaps?

Not trying to sit here and fight, its not much fun.

Sounds like the PP products are a good piece with the exception of drilling the hole out a bit for the cable to fit. $220 for both plenum and TB is a great price i think. I also got the polished piece so i can have something shiny under the hood.
