Professional Products Intake

I bought mine, not the best of quality but it is worth the $200 less than the edelbrock ( paid 320 shipped). The Professional products intake is Identical to the edelbrock so it should make close to the same power. If you want to do a good job I would invest in some carbide bits to clean up the ports a little and do a little portmatching to your heads.

A problem I encountered. Some injector holes actually are above the port ( the middle port in the pic) which seems like if ur using a stock gasket, the injector wont fit.. I have seen this on another typhoon intake though so im gonna deal with it. Luckily i have a big port I have to match it to so I should be ok

:notnice: I agree!!! I just put the polished version on my 92 this weekend. The holes for the fuel rails didn't line up so I had to cut the mounting holes open in the in the fuel rail assem so they would secure. I had the same problem with some of the bolt holes as well and had to chase the threads on several of them. I also bought the egr plate and the 70 mm t/b. They didn't mate evenly either. It was like the holes in the intake were drilled off center. The polished finish I thought could have been better too. Also the gasket set typhoon recomended did not work for my application . The # was something like fel 1250 :notnice: All in all it worked out ok, but sometimes you really do get what you pay for!! Check it out on page 10 of my web site. Hope this helped.

I replied to one or two posts on this subject before but, I think it is a mediocre intake. I have the polished version, looks great, but the egr spacer to the intake opening was misalined slightly. Nothing much to worry about. I did not have the problems these folks speak of. It looks really easy to port and clean up so if you buy it and plan on putting some time in it, it is a great intake, but there are better out of the box intakes, of course you will pay more though.

I've got one on my car and have no problems. Everything matched up pretty good. I do agree the ports need to be smoothed out but other than that not a bad intake for the money.
