Okay, so I finally uploaded pics of it. Got my tranny all unbolted on Saturday night, and tomorrow I'm gonna pull it off of the engine and start bolting up the new one...here's some pics...

My dad didn't think my car was sturdy enough on 5 jacks...I dared him to try and push it over.

Ever noticed how your doora don't close at all when the cars jacked up?

Kind of a cool view IMO..."the TUNNEL".

It's all good. Yeah, I never knew where my exhaust leak was, but I knew I had one...then I saw it when I was working on my tranny...I started laughing so hard! Too bad insurance doesn't cover a new exhaust system...

Its called body flex, and its not good. Get some subframes, a strut tower brace, and a roll bar.

Mine open and close fine. It's probably where you position your jacks. What kind of tranny are you putting in?

stykthyn

I want to measure mine. It doesn't look that tall.

watch where you jack your car. I had some major issues getting my pass door to close after I jacked up the front end one time. it kept rubbing on the fender. now I always put the jack on the tranny cross member.

Please tell me (to the OP) you didn't open the door of your vert with it jacked up? Even with jackstands under it your asking for trouble. A subframe-less vert on jack stands should never have the door opened.
