Progress: Rockers OK / TP voltage is also OK

OK, so I made what I guess could be called a little progress today. I got the rockers adjusted and tightened down, and got the poly locks in really good this time.
I also verified the TP voltage. Its .985 at idle (the car idles great) and 4.64 at WOT. These values are OK, aren't they.
Anyway, I took the car out for a spin after this and its a little better than before, but it still doesn't really accelerate. Its still a ton slower than stock, but at least it will accelerate. It was raining and I can't even break the tires loose on the wets roads, but like I said its better than before.
I guess my next and just about last option is to buy a tweecer. I should have the money in a week, so hopefully that cures my problems. If anyone has any other suggestions, I'd love to hear them.

BTW - fuel pressure is at 42 PSI with no vacuum and timing is at 13*.

Mines at 42 too, but under WOT my car is 7% richer than the stock program. Ironically, I "think" I experienced the same thing when I first put my car together. I was making a "back road 1/4 pass" and the car would not accelerate above 90 or so MPH, it was like it was stuck at that speed. I tore the car down the next day to readjust the rockers and such, and never experienced it again, but at that time the car definitely felt slower than stock. I don't know exactly what I changed to change that though, sorry Mark. I wouldn't go the tweecer route just yet as I can not believe that's your entire problem. Start looking at fuel and spark first. Didn't you say you deleted a ground strap, or was that someone else?

did you hook the grounds back up to the block. If it isn't getting sufficient ground it can not create sufficient spark. I had a ground on the drivers side header to the frame. It went between the bolt and the header flange where it bolts to the head.

The prob is not something a Tweecer or fuel pressure adjustment will take care of.

Even that it won't idle and such if you did not have whatever the prob is, it should move on out after you get some rpm's up.

Did you get ALL the hoses and wires connected back to correct place?

Is the motor running smooth when you accerlate?

The motor runs idles fine and runs very smoothly when I am accelerating. I have double and triple checked the hoses and wires.

Paul - I didn't delete a ground strap, that must be someone else.

Does someone want to give me a list of where all the grounds should be hooked up and some that are easy to overlook.

I agree that this doesn't seen like something a tweecer would cure, but then again, I don't know much about the computer and how it reacts to stuff.

I know I'm not going to solve this one overnight, its just getting a little frustrating. Thanks for the input guys.
