Got to another show today. Got a lot of nice feedback on the car, which keeps my motivation up to do more!! What will be next, I don’t know…… but I just know that more needs to happen!

Thanks man! I enjoy the work just as much as driving it. I do have a non-working fuel gauge…. So that’s on the winter list for sure.

This has been on my list for a while……. Finally getting my door trim repainted.
Well at least half of it……. I’ll have to spin the car around when it stops raining, and get the drivers side.

Rustoleum Trim and Bumper paint.
That pic is actually before I painted.
I’ve had good luck with that paint before. I used it to paint my windshield trim, as well as my rear view mirrors, which used to be red.

Wow…… can’t believe I haven't posted here in this long, but sometimes life takes over. Anyway……. Got the Stang out for a nice 20/25 mile drive this morning. Ran really well! Kind of fell in love again, so hopefully it’ll spark me into some more work on this car. Meant to take the “gas station shot”, but then I forgot! Oh well.

Hey RDub6, what's going on. Don't feel bad. Mine hasn't been out since April. That's when my boat landed in the driveway and then blocked her in til almost the Fourth of July while we tried to diagnose engine issues. In the end it wasn't anything too serious but it drove us crazy and inevitably cost me a month of the boating season which is already too short to begin with. Anyway, now that it's finally in the water and the driveway cleared, I'm making it a priority to get the car out. First I gotta do her spring oil change, I know I know, and then change the registration sticker and make an appointment for an inspection. Both expired as she sat waiting for the boat to exit. I have some vacation time coming up this week so I'm hoping to get it wrapped up and take her on a nice long ride. Funny what you said about falling in love with your car again. Exact same thing happens to me with mine every time I don't drive her for this long and then finally get back behind the wheel. Makes me wonder how and why so much time passes between drives, and why don't I miss it enough to make it more of a priority, but like you said, life takes over. Heard this next Flowerfield show is probably going to be the last at that historic location. Gonna miss it. Had a lot of good times there. Unfortunately have plans for that show date. Hope all is well with you and the family and get that Foxbody out a little more. I'm going to try and do the same.

Hey @Rdub6, I think I’ve driven my car only once this year. Thats when I found out my older front tires have flat spots. I do need to replace those, but….life.

Well, @1hot87gt and @BlakeusMaximus , I don’t want to see your cars sitting around either, but I am glad I’m not the only one!
Time just goes too quick sometimes, and before you know it it’s been sitting for months without moving!

So after some patience, I managed to get a pair of ‘86 tail lights (one at a time) for a reasonable price. I finally got the lenses cleaned up, taped up, and painted today!
Now I just have to get a new install kit with the butyl and clips so I can get them installed!

I could use that for the headlights in my ‘02 F150. I polish them, but it doesn’t last long before they fog over again.
