I happened upon a complete running 94 Mustang GT a few weeks back. So I bought it to do my 5 lug swap then part out the rest.

It's a real show stopper. :rlaugh:

My original plan was to just swap the whole rear end out of the 94, since it had a slightly better 3.08 gear ratio. But as you will see, once I pulled it, someone managed to bend the entire housing. Musta been re-enacting some Dukes Of Hazard?

So I had to swap everything onto my fox 8.8.

Car had brand new rear calipers and pads laying in the back seat. :nice:

The front is done as well, just waiting on an adapter for the passenger side brake line to work.

Last night I got the booster and master cylinder in, surprisingly, I didn't even have to touch my strut tower. Just notched the holes some with a dremel.

Still not sure how I'm going to get the 94 out of the shop.

Just a mock up with the cobra r's that came on the 94. I'm thinking some lowering will be in need once the everything is done.

All that's left is to order my 3-2 port conversion, and a proportioning valve.

Looks great! I'm just about done with my 5lug conversion but i'm going to use the 94 mustang proportioning valve on my 90GT so I don't have to use the 3-2 port conversion.

If the 94 is a non abs model. Use the rear fitting on the SN95 proportioning valve on your Fox prop. valve and use the driver side brake line from the SN95.

This is the way the factory did the SVO. Much more reliable than a leaky 3-2 port converision. Only one fitting to swap and one brake line from the 94...all else remains from your fox. You will also save the $$$.

If you have questions PM me.

Rick

you can use an 80-86 mustang/thunderbird i think prop valve for the conversion. same block that came in my m2300 kit from ford.

should be able to find one at a junkyard easily. it just requires one fitting adapter on the bottom of it.

3-2 port doesnt leak if you tighten it

Looks good, for mine I'm gonna use MarkVII rotors in the front and drum in the back so I can keep stock master cylinder, fittings etc... I know rear disk look better than drum, but for 1/4 mile at a time I don't think it'l be too noticeable.

Hmm, I guess I could have saved a few bucks going that route. But I already ordered my prop. valve and conversion line from Maximum Motorsports yesterday morning.

You're running SN-95 axles right? Your rear saleens are 18x10 in the S-197 offset if I recall. So that keeps them tucked behind the fender lip?

Yeah, I was just going to go ranger axles and 94-95 front spindles originally. But I couldn't pass up this parts car for $600.

im using sn95 axles with 18x9 saleen wheels. they are nearly identical to the ford specs on the m179 wheel made for foxes using 95 rear axles. they do not clear...

im only running a 275 tire, and they hit my rolled fender lips on certain bumps. my car is very low, but it sits barely inside the lip.

Does anybody know the specs. on that plug you replace in the front of the proportioning valve? The only thing I've found is summit lists it as a 1/8in NPT plug. But The threads don't look NPT.

I refuse to pay $18 for a stupid little brass plug. I'll JB weld the hole in the stock one before I buy the ford racing one.

good luck gettin jb weld to hold the hydraulic pressure of the brakes lol.

i'd think that maybe summit lists the thread specs of that plug. look on ebay, i saw some of them for like $10. or you can go to the junkyard and get one from an 80-86 mustang.

Yeah, the JB weld comment was more of a joke than anything else. Lol.

I'll go to I-5 wrecking yard tomorrow, I think they had a few 4 eye'd cars in there.

you a centralia area guy? i was there like 2 months ago and they had one.. also check the t-birds from that era too. i know it is the same prop valve on several vehicles.

It's def not NPT for that plug.

I used an non-ABS SN95 PV on my swap. Just took the rear fitting off, and installed it on the rear of the fox PV and problem solved. Cleanest, easiest 3-2 conversion there is.

I live about 5 minutes from I-5 wrecking. :nice:

Went down there this morning and the earliest mustang they had was an 87. I know they had an SVO the last time I was there (3 months ago), but it got sent to scrap. :notnice:
