Interesting...

What material is that in the engine bay the holes have been filled with? Is that the "all metal" stuff I've heard a lot about?

Also what are the plans for the car, what combo, what wheels/tires, suspension, etc...

Looks like some great progress though!!!

Looks like Duraglass over bare metal. I like the pinchweld deleted. Kinda makes me want to go ahead and do that to mine now. lol I debated on doing it but decided to not do it. Cant wait to see it done!!

For a show and go car, that sure is a helluva lot of "go".

Can't wait to see more.

Thanks guys for all the good comments.
Here are some of the details people were wanting to know. motor- going to stay in the 5.0 family but will be building a 331c.i. dart block motor, with a F-1C procharger. shooting for around 900 horse. realiable horsepower as we want this car to be a driver. Transmission is still kinda up in the air. we want a 6speed but not sure yet. rear is a narrowed 8.8, posi, moser axles. Car will have coilovers on all 4 corners.
The car is definately built to be overkill, its for that visual impact for when the car will be shown. the stuff on the engine bay is indeed duraglass, kittyhair, we filled and smoothed all the holes, the pinchweld, and whatever else wasn't needed. Did as much metal work to get everything flat and smooth, then we did a skim coat of the duraglass over the whole thing to even it all up.
As of today the car is almost done chassis wise. still have a little more metal work to do

the rims, for now. will probably get different ones once its on the road. those are 18x11. need 18x12or13. front are 18x10, i think

maybe a little too low??

Strut Towers are connected to a pillar bars. then they are hid with the original structure

I guess the thread got buried quick.

I can't wait to see what this thing is going to be when it's done. Did you put the dash speaker grills through the cage, that isnt done too often.

The stance in the rear gives me a hard on... Thats going to be a bad ass car man. One question for you though. Is the rear seat on the gixxer furry or just dirty? Keep up the good work on the stang, as it will definitely give many people something to strive for on their cars. (Im always looking for inspiration, oh and that money tree I planted...)

Awesome work, and of course keep up with the pics.

I like projects like this, over the top.

Also keep it a 6-speed .
