i have had multiple projects over the last year with this car.all of them have taken me like 1-2 days, not much of a project.. well this one im calling snowball cause it keeps evolving and evolving.

i had my 302 h/c/i, vortech si-trim setup making 440/410. i got my fuel issue settled and raced it one time. went 12.0 at 121 with a 22 mph headwind all night. it was enough to make me decide, i wanted to stay with a 302 based setup, but more aggressive/4-bolt block.

started there. so the new setup will be a 337 in an r302 block, tfs cnc heads, custom cam, systemax intake, powerpipe, my si-trim, all the other stuff. behind bars race cars sumped tank, fuel lab single pump, full fuel system with -10 feed, -6 return. then all the misc. crap inbetween.

now i have decided to clean the entire bottom of the car, and undercoat it. im also painting the rear end housing black and powdercoating the rest of the brackets on the caliper brackets, ect.

lastly i went back into the bay.. we are going to take my wire harness tucked car, and completely make it disappear. any wire that can be re-routed and made invisible will be done. bay will be re-painted, the fender skirts will be done right this time and smoothed out better.

will post some progress pics a little later tonight. hoping to wrap this up in a few weeks here..

ok so here is the text portion of it..

added an sn95 booster, got that all setup with the pedal, ect.

cleaned engine bay, painted badly chipping f/d up k-member.

then we re-smoothed and did body work to the fender skirts. re-painted it oem color and added a bit of pearl to match the outside as close as possible.

made block off plate for a/c fittings at firewall, also made firewall cover at work.

completely cleaned underside of car by hand, then put on 6 layers of undercoating. plumbed fuel system, behind bars tank, fuel lab pump, ect.

last, i completely gutted the interior out. filled some ssp holes left behind, then coated the entire car with sound deadening. will be nice and quiet inside now. noteable difference instantly from doing this..

random pics coming...

forgot to mention incase anyone is wondering. i put 100 sq ft of the deadener inside the car. initial weight of it with the thick cardboard spools was 27 lbs. i used ALL of it. weight without spools was roughly 23 lbs. after some of those pics, i re-wired some stuff, pulled all my ssp wiring out/ssp remains, some of the original deadening that was like sawdust, ect. i'll bet i added 15 lb's TOPS to the car. well well worth it.

the interior is about 60% put back together now. i'm taking my sweet ass time making everything fit perfect. making sure carpet lays down perfectly contoured. it was a mess, but the car is going back together how it should be, everywhere..

that is a lot of progress over a month. What sound deadening did you go with. looks pretty decent.

been less then a month for that to take place, but thanks.

it is just fatmat. very noticeable difference in the sound of shutting my doors, knocking on paneling covered vs. not, ect. i already know it will be a huge difference.
