Since i can't just leave well enough alone.....

I had a set of ultra clear headlights, decided to paint the housings anthracite. Wasn't able to tweak the cutoff to be perfect, but oh well. Anything is an improvement over the headlights on this car, probably one of the worst outputs ever recorded in history in mass produced cars. (Yes, i stand by this statement)

Morimoto B-Stock Mini H1 projectors
Morimoto 4300K H1s
Amber 2nd Gen xbALed's
Chrome Mini Graphite H1 shrouds painted black

All purchased from www.theretrofitsource.com. Great place, can't recommend them higher. The projectors fit without any cutting, and you can use one of the provided adapters as a washer since its the same diameter as the I.D. of the 9004 socket.

Anyways here are the pics. Should be a vast improvement over the 9004 Silverstar Ultras that are in the stock housings now.

I am curious to see it installed. The output will be great, but I wonder how the little round light will look with the ambers on each side.

I'll be doing a test fit soon. Car needs to be painted and I only have the chrome inner and outer a now. But I can throw them in and see how it looks.

It's a stock replacement housing, so it should fit like the typical aftermarket light. The lenses are clear non fluted ones. I'm sure you have seen them before.

Got mine done for my car as well. I was surprised how well the Morimoto kit hooked up. I can't wait to put them on the car.

@Kumm3, the link you provided only showed the low beam bulb. Are these the ones that you are using?

Yes that is the bulb I am using, no seperate high beam needed. The high beam is solenoid driven and moves the cutoff shield down to give full beam output.

I actually bought a harness off eBay for $10. Hopefully that works and if not I'll get the TRS one.

I haven't picked up the bulbs yet but as soon as I scrape up some scratch I am going with Morimoto's http://www.theretrofitsource.com/hid-systems/morimoto-elite-hid-system-h1.html#.Uwu4xIXYPIw

It will look weird now that you've blacked out the inside of the housing next to the inner and outer lights.
