A friend of mine just bought a 99GT 35th anniverary edition and I drove it home for him and the clutch felt weird when compared to my 02GT.
The 99 has TONS of play in the clutch . I can pull up on the pedal and there is a few inches of play from where the clutch stops comming up on its own and to the top of where the pedal can stop. It seems to drive ok, expect the range the clutch actually grabs seems to be shorter then my 02GT.
It also grabs RIGHT off the floor, there is not even the smallest amount of room there. My 02 I can bring the pedal a little off the floor before it starts to grab and then I have about 2 inches give or take of it grabbing, then it pops up to the top of where the pedal sits. I have my quadrant adjusted one click to take about 1/2" of slack that I used to have.
So how should the clutch feel, where should it start to grab, how far should it travel while its grabbing, etc.
I am wondering whose is right, or if they both sound off.
