FYI: If anyone bypasses their PS pump make sure you empty out the resivoir.
I just took a cruise after detailing my car and motor and I noticed some smoking and saw that my PS pump vented ps fluid out of the hole in the top all over my chit man! I drained the system and now it is fine.

I needed to get my car back on the road and my pulley kit some how stripped itself. I thought the quickest way was to just bypass the ps pump. It actually feels real weird driving around like that and I will have the pulley back on soon.

Sorry to hear about your oil story. That sucks. I didnt even know that could happen. The few couple times that I drove it without PS, I didnt have much oil in my pump...by luck, because I had a leak and had to fix the hose just before I drive it.
