My return line fitting that screws into the rack is leaking. Not the rubber hose but the actual fitting. No part store lists it and Ford says they no longer make it. The last list price they had for it was $100CDN. It's one fitting and maybe 8"of hardline!

Can I make something work with earls/aeroquip fittings or something? I don't want to run full braided line but maybe some fittings with a barbed end? Anyone done this? Does it clear the oil pan/k member?

Ford has them for 1998 mustangs. Would that work? They want $70CDN for it but it's special order so no returns.

Any suggestions?

Well...here is the Ford # E7LY-3A713-A
Your Ford dealer is full of crap!. I just bought one this summer. I got both my lines from the local dealer. You are looking for the hard line that goes from the rack and pushes into a hose, right. it was $37.33 US

If I remember correctly, the fitting uses an O ring. That 50 cent O ring is the likely source of your leak. Any auto parts store can supply the needed O ring if you can bring them the part it fits on.

You most likely need a new o-ring as jrichker stated above. These are available at most parts stores on the "HELP!" rack.

View attachment 419881 Part # 82540 just in case you can't make it out in the picture since it's a bit blurry. I believe those o-rings are made from Teflon. They're really stiff and you're supposed to soak them in hot water for a minute or two so that you can stretch them enough to slip over the rack fittings.
