So I don't often ask tech questions but I'm stumped. Take me to school. I'm doing a GT40 head intake swap and decided to change cams too. I got all my stuff and a pushrod length checker etc. Here is the thing..I need to mock up a solid lifter to use for PTV clearance checking. I bought 2 extra that I can destroy. I tried to tear one apart and flip the plunger to use it as I have read about. Problem is the thing doesn't sit fully at the top of the lifter now. It is solid. But won't it give me a false full open on my valve against my clay? What am I missing?
