Coming home from work tonight northbound on I81 had a new GT vert wanted to race, dropped her into fourth and left him sitting and then a few minutes later a bright red Z06 came up on me hard as I was getting on eastbound I70. He darted around me and about stopped in the slow lane waiting for me to catch up. I must have had an @sshole magnet on the car tonight. I don't like goofballs behind the wheel. Guy was on his cell phone and I dropped it into fourth as I came up beside him at around 60mph. He looked over and saw my smirk and dropped his cell phone as he grabbed at his shifter. Too late for him because the loud pedal went down and when the tach said 6k he was 6-7 cars behind and the old girl was shaking pretty bad at around 130. Shifted into fifth and it was still taching 4,500 and pulling hard. Had to get out of due to slow traffic ahead (75mph or so).
The tech is what else can be done to lessen the shaking at higher speed.
I won't go into the college guys in the lazer red '94 thunderbird that pulled beside me last week and were videotaping the car as it went down the interstate. Flipped me out so bad I downshifted into fourth when I looked back all I saw were two counter turning contrails of grey exhaust smoke and a their car getting smaller and smaller. They caught up at my exit and were all thumbs up and smiles. And here I thought I was gonna get run off the road and mugged or something...
