Pulled codes, and have a few questions.....

I got code 15 KOEO which is ROM test failed. Could this be due to the chip I have in there or is the computer not functioning correctly?? It runs well other than a cold idle surge and the alternator not charging correctly. Both in the works to be fixed...... thanks for the help.

A chip can indeed toss that code. If you remove the chip and clear the KAM, the code will likely go away.

And how does one go about doing this, Hissin. I figured that might be it because it gives me the 11 "system ok" code as well.

The TwEECer guys remove the neg on the battery, and depress the brake for about a minute to clear the KAM.

I think the chips simply confuse the puter's self diagnostics (note that I'm no Jrichker and dont pretend to understand the guts of electronic devices like he does).

Jason hit the nail on the head. You just need to discharge the capacitors in the puter so it starts fresh, and disco'ing the battery and pressing the brake pedal or turning on the headlights creates a draw that discharges the minute (meaning small, not an interval of time) stored energy very quickly.
