Pulled Codes

[Simple88GT]

I pulled the codes today, on my 88Gt, and this is what I got

KOEO:

81
82
85
84

KOER:

No Codes???

Anyone know what these are?

Does anyone no what I can do to get rid of these codes, and whether or not it would cause my car to run rich like it does.

Josh, search Jrichker's posts and you'll find a synopsis of each code (I believe he has one for each).

Codes 81 and 82 have to do with the air management system aka smog pump

Codes 84 is the EGR vacuum solenoid failure

Code 85 is canister purge solenoid failure.



Did you eliminate all the smog pump and related smog vacuum plumbing on the pass side of the motor???

everything except the egr is gone the egr is still connected except for te vaccum line it is capped, I bought the car like this so, any help would be nice.

Well that may have something to do with it.

You'll need to source the lines and solenoids needed to make the EGR functional...or go get a tune to eliminate it completely from the EEC programming
