I'm reassembling my 351.Just to make sure?I'm adjusting the push rods, and to make sure i'm correct? You make sure the lifter is all the way down and spin the push rod tighting the rocker till it shows some resistance on the push rod, then tighten it another 1/2 turn???This is on a flat tappet cam lifter..peace

i'm assuming it's hydrualic flat tappet. if so, you adjust the intake side as soon as the exhaust starts to open, and the exhaust side once the intake opens fully and just starts to close. i would adjust them 1/4 to half turn past zero lash. I twist the push rod and when it just stops spinning freely your a zero lash. i tighten the nut 1/4 turn, sinch down the lock on the poly lock and then tighten the nut another 1/4 turn.
Hope this helps.

Hey John,
Yes thats how you do it. Some go more but I have always used 1/2 and never had a problem.
