I'm running an E-303 cam, and stock hydraulic roller lifters, and plan on upgrading to 1.7 roller rocker arms. I've found a few different pushrod lengths online: 6.875 inches, 6.375, and 6.258. Can any of you tell me which length I should be buying? Thanks.

What do you mean youve found those 3 different pushrod lengths online?
You can get just about any pushrod length you will ever need.
The only way to be sure is to spend the $15 on a length checker and measure for yourself. Proper valvetrain geometry is extremly important to the life of your engine.

What he said, the pushrods are also important on power. If you get the wrong size your motor won't perform to it's best and your valvetrain won't live a long life if the geometry is way off. Don't listen to what works on everyone else's motors measure it for yourself every motor is different.

What I mean is, I found 3 different pushrod lengths for a 289-302 Ford. One is for the OEM cam though, so that's discounted. I only need new ones because I destroyed the stock pushrods by running them with guideplates. Nobody ever told me not to. Including my mechanic.

I measured for myself and the length was about 6.25. That's the stock length. I found some stock length pushrods, but they're not hardened for use with guideplates. Closest size I found in hardened ones was 6.375 in. 'For use with OEM lifters and aluminum rocker arms', which is what I've got.

Sound like the right ones?

They are hardened for use with guideplates. BTW why do you have guideplates?

I'm running the guideplates cause they came with my Edelbrock heads. Theyre Performer RPMs.
