Pushrod question

Hey guys I just bought pushrod guideplates and on the package it says to use heat treated pushrods. My motor has stock push rods can I use them with the guideplates?

I really want to say you need some hardend pushrods but I cant remeber for sure.

I would like to bump this thread - are stock pushrods okay to use with guideplates, or should you get new ones. If new ones, then what length is the stock pushrod so I know what to order? Thanks

NFW!! the "Guide Plates" guide the valves and keep them centered!! cool?? and they will rub the side of the plate channel and will actually wear in half!! Thus the hardened push rod.. to not wear, were the push rod rubs on the guide plate...
