Pushrods issues

Ok I have had this problem for a while now but I never really posted it because it happened few and far between but now since i got my car tuned it has happpened twice in 2 days. I keep breaking rocker arm studs. I was told by boosted performance that my pushrods was the wrong legnth. Now how do I get the right legnth? I know they make something that looks like a pushrod that you can screw to find out but i dont understand how you measure it with the rocker arm on there. You would have to have the rockerarm adjusted to have the right legnth right? Well how do you adjust the rockerarms without a pushrod lol:shrug:

I don't see how the wrong pushrod length will allow your engine to run properly if they are too long. If they were, in most cases... not yours evidently, the valves would never close.
If they are too short, well... then you'd have serious rocker tip to valve stem issues, and you'd see right away the strange angle of the rockers once you had them adjusted tension wise.

IMO you have spring issues, or install height issues. Another could be oiling. No or limited oiling can create funky problems up top.

I broke a couple of rocker studs on my 347 and one on my 306. I never did figgure out why it happened.
