I put on 18" saleen wheels and took the car for a ride, It shakes after 60mph and get worse after, I have the weights installed on the inside so they cant be seen.
what could be causing this?
the shop who installed and mounted the tires said it might shake if there on the inside.
should I get the weights on the outside?
is it dangerous?
let me know

There is a way to properly balance a tire using sticky weights on the inside of the rim, but most shops aren't too great at using this method. You'll have better luck just getting them balanced the traditional way.

Dumb question, but did you need spacers? The rims will fit snug without them, but at high speeds they will shimmy. Also, check the lugs and make sure they are on the right way and are not eating into the rims. Other than that I guess it would be the weights. Just my .02

your rims may be bent... one or both front ones should be checked... sometimes its not evident that they are as the bends could be on the inside...

one of mine got butchered during shipping... it had a total of 12 bends... geez... fixed tho... not too expensive either... like $100

no spacers, lugs are right, no rim damage,
its just the steering wheel that shakes at higher speeds,
so I should get the weights done again?
also could it be that I need an alignment, im using H&R supersports without any insulators up front

let me know
thanks

try having them balanced the regular way,,, sometimes with big wheels such as 17 and up they have the need to be road forced balnced, which puts pressure on the tire and rim as if it were on the road... they can match rim to tire and wobble 99% of the time is gone and it is perfect.
