Swapped back to the 10 Holes today. We had snow showers last night, so I figured better get it done. The Weld Wheels have tires that are more for summer and rain, but not so much for snow. The 10 holes have all season radials on them.

My welds put the car higher, and the 10 holes put it lower. Wish I could find a medium ground. But can't do anything different now. Bought a different house and all free time is in home improvements. But at least it has a 2 car garage, lots of room to work on it.

Thanks Flava :)

Unfortunately it is my only mode of transportation. Fortunately, the snow and ice usually isn't too bad, nothing like New York I'm sure. If it starts getting deep, I will share the Pontiac Montana with my wife to get to and from work.

I really need to get it all washed and waxed again, but weather is getting too cold again. Its 25 degrees right now. BRRRRR.

Belated Happy Thanksgiving to all of Stangnet and may the upcoming Holidays be happy and joyous for all.:flag:

what part of illinois? because around here (bout an hour south of chicago) they use salt like its going outta style, so much so that the roads turn white.
first hint of salt and my car gets put away till spring.

btw. i also put some ten holes back on my car. it has 225/60/15s all the way around. it lights the tires up without even trying. lol

I'm about 5 hrs south of Chicago. South of 70 about 58 miles. Sure they salt, but only if it gets real bad. Salt is bad thats for sure, not much I can do about that besided a good underflush at the car wash.

I noticed a difference between the 10 holes with 215/60's compared to the 225/55r16's. Car sits lower and is lighter. Bad part is the bigger tires had a lot better traction and I miss tha part.
