Step 1 25-35 lbs
step 2 45-55
step 3 65-75 :nice:

remember, read the gaskets instructions too. on Fel-pro gaskets they want you to go over and trq. on side to 70 the other to 80, I dont have it in front of me but I think its the intake side that gets the extra 10....? It helps offset the wedge/non horizontal block surface.

You should get new head bolts as our stock ones are trq. to yeald and they are meant to streach and not ever be re-used.

anyone know where the bolt tightening sequence might be posted, and any advice is helpful...also torque number needed...thanks

Where did you get them ported ? I was thinking of doing a stage 2 or 3 port job on my stock heads. But would ported Et7's be better than the GT-40P's ?

Road Runna, PM thumper and he'll give you info about heads that he has ported and what would be better. He'll probably be able to answer your questions better than anyone else... but if I was you, I'd find a cheap set of GT-40p's on ebay and have them ported instead of wasting your money on the e7's. I've seen the GT-40p heads go for $300-$400 so they arent all that expencive.

I use ARP thread sealer on the short bolts and ARP moly lube on the long bolts. Then torque all of them to a max of 65ft-lbs, which is equal to 85ft-lbs with regular oil. Make sure to put the lube and sealer on the washer surface of the head as well.

supercool,i will do as instructed...As for getting your heads ported ,if you can find a reasonable price on having it done,go for it,it is supposed to be the cheapest horsepower gain[from what i have read].I did mine and it was alot more work than i expected, but i enjoy it cause i am an old Dearborn wrench ...i did a kick ass job and then had a valve job done...I don't think i would do it for anyone else,at least not to the extent i did mine ,,,not all port jobs are created equal..be very specific about all the details and how much will be done
